College Possible has a budget of nearly $20 million, more than 125 full-time employees and more than 250 AmeriCorps and VISTA service members. Basic Description

The Senior Manager of Training and Engagement assesses employee and AmeriCorps member development needs and creates training solutions to address these needs. This includes professional development, compliance and diversity and inclusion trainings.  In addition, this position will identify processes to assess engagement of employees and AmeriCorps members, analyze data and develop solutions to drive engagement and a positive AmeriCorps experience.

Essential Job Functions

  • Conducts a training and development needs assessment for the organization to include employees and AmeriCorps members
  • Proposes training and development programs and objectives
  • Creates training content for employees and AmeriCorps members based on the needs of the organization; this includes training related to diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Facilitates training as needed
  • Leads creation of annual LT Kick-Off agenda and content
  • Identifies external speakers and facilitators as needed
  • Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Proposes and monitors spending against the departmental budget
  • Conducts employee and AmeriCorps member engagement assessments, including analysis and action plans, for the organization

Professional Requirements (Skills & Qualifications)

Education/Certifications/Licenses:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Human Resources, Business or related field required;

Related Work Experience:

  • A minimum of seven years of related work experience including five years' experience facilitating and creating training content;
  • Experience facilitating and creating training content related to diversity and inclusion work strongly preferred;
  • Experience facilitating and creating training content for a millennial work population strongly preferred;
  • Experience in a non-profit organization helpful;
  • Experience working in an AmeriCorps organization highly desired;

Computer/Software Skills:

  • Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required;

Other Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

  • Strong training facilitation skills;
  • Must have a desire to engage in diversity, inclusion and/or equity work;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills;
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
  • Attention to detail, including proofreading and project follow-through;
